A series of works exploring the narratives entangling culture, industry and the natural world.

The Ghosts of Electricity is a series of works made up of interventions using found images, letterpress techniques and offset ink. The work sits within a larger project, Future Archaeologies, which investigates the work of Spanish architect and painter Vaquero Palacios, the designer behind various mid-20th Century power stations.

Fran Meana
Fran Meana (b. 1982, Asturias, ES) is a London-based artist and educator; he holds an MFA from Piet Zwart Institute. Selected shows include System Recovery, Assembly Point, London, UK (2018); Generaciones 2018, La Case Encendida, Madrid, ES (2018); Tender Buttons, Salón, Madrid, ES (2017); Future Archeologies, Laboral, Gijón, ES (2016); and 1.000 Horsepower, Can Trinxet, Hospitalet, ES (2016). Selected awards include Generaciones (2018), LABJoven Los Bragales (2016) and Mondriaan Fonds (2013). Meana has completed the Laboral residency, Gijón, ES (2016); the Kunsthalle São Paulo, São Paolo, BR (2016); and will complete the Spare Room Residency, Liverpool, UK (2019).
