This publication was created alongside BLOAT collective’s second exhibition; BLOAT II, hARTslane Gallery, 27/1/17.
Set in both coastal and forest environments, the collective ran a self-led residency using an orange tarpulin as their base medium. Working collectively to explore the dynamic between environment and bloated form, the material was manipulated to create a bloat.
BLOAT II publication is the object that delivers permanent documentation of the elemental and community values of BLOAT Collective.
BLOAT is an all female collaborative focuses on what a bloated form potentially constitutes, whilst exploring the powers of co-art: together creating a visual language beginning with the word ‘bloat’.
