This publication was created alongside BLOAT collective’s second exhibition; BLOAT II, hARTslane Gallery, 27 Jan 2017.

Set in both coastal and forest environments, the collective ran a self-led residency using an orange tarpulin as their base medium. Working collectively to explore the dynamic between environment and bloated form, the material was manipulated to create a bloat. 

BLOAT II publication is the object that delivers permanent documentation of the elemental and community values of BLOAT Collective.

About the Artists

BLOAT is an all female collaborative focuses on what a bloated form potentially constitutes, whilst exploring the powers of co-art: together creating a visual language beginning with the word ‘bloat’.
